Jeff Crusan
About, Nineteen years on since the greatest national tragedy the United States has ever faced, the music of a young man born the same day finally pounds against the public eardrum. Jeff Crusan is a Michigan born guitarist, saxophonist, and composer from the Detroit area. Exposed to many different backgrounds, whether it be bluegrass and traditional country, to jazz and contemporary symphonic music, Jeff’s arsenal knows no limits. As evidenced by this track listing, Jeff dabbles in many different musical styles. From the blistering chicken pickin’ licks of the opening track “Cherry Blossom Way,” through to the sultry tenor sax tones of “Renewal,” we get a taste of Jeff’s chops on guitar and saxophone. Though the crown-jewel title track “If My Tears Could Turn To Pennies” tugs at the heart strings and steals the show, conveying an undying wish to have the heart and hand of a certain someone...one day. Through human experiences come a strong desire to express the struggles that come from them, and that is exactly what Jeff has done for us with his debut album.
